Knowledge

Margaret Thatcher

Margaret Thatcher is famous for making her own decisions.Throughout Europe, Margaret Thatcher is known as the iron lady.

The reason for this is because when she made a decision, nothing to change her mind.

Although some people might call this stubborn, she had a right to be stubborn because of the way in which she made her decision.

Margaret Thatcher never made a major decision based on the thoughts and opinions of others. In stead, she insured that she had educated herself on what she was making the decision on.

Knowledge and Muhammad (SAW)

Islam is a religion which places great importance on knowledge, especially the knowledge that is within the Holy Quran. The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) once asked him companions a question. He said that I was once given a drink and I drank a lot of it. I drank so much that it started to fill every fibre in me and started flowing out of me. Even after this had happened, I still wanted more. What drink was this? The wisest amongst him replied, this drink was knowledge. There is little doubt that knowledge makes life interesting and pleasurable.

The reason why knowledge is so important is simple.

It is with knowledge that we make decisions, draw conclusions, understand other people, plan ahead and reflect on events past.

The Great Philosophers - Hume

David Hume believes that our ability to question is crucial. Human beings are the most curious of all of God's creations.

For a human being, the most important verb is to 'question.'

It is questions that are the currency of our minds. The process of thought that governs our every action is comprised of questions.

This is because our key purpose in life is to grow and survive, something that we can only do if we know how to grow and survive.

The British Philosopher, David Hume, argued that in life there are two things:

Potential Power

All of the knowledge in the world is only a click away from us. We live in the Information Age. We live in an age in which we know more today than we ever did before.

Throughout history, people have believed that the only thing that is needed is knowledge. The belief has always been that any problem can be resolved with more knowledge.

The truth, however, is that knowledge is not enough. It is merely potential power.

The true power comes when you know what to do and you actually do it.

In an age where knowledge surrounds us and is accessible at the click of a button, it is no longer the greatest commodity.
