LaughterSubmitted by editor on Fri, 08/15/2008 - 07:45. In the 1950's, an experiment took place that counted how many times people laughed each day.The average result was 40 times. A similar experiment was recently conducted and the results were astounding. They showed that, average, we now laugh about 8 times per day. The results of this survey prove that we are just not having as much fun as we used to. This could be one of the reasons for rising stress levels and, as stress is seen as a key accelerator of many major diseases, could explain the rising cancer and heart disease rates. Take some time today to count how many times you laugh. Try to find a way in which you can build more laughter into your daily routine. Reply |
