Easter Reflections
Submitted by editor on Thu, 03/20/2008 - 07:24.
As we approach the Easter Weekend, we remember a day that happened 2,000 years ago.The key question to ask ourselves is how something that happened so long ago still has an influence today. There is a line from the movie, Riding in Cars With Boys, that could help us to understand this. "One day can change your life. One day can ruin your life. All life is four or five days that change everything." The significance of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ is that it was a a day that not only changed one life, but changed the life of millions of people for many years to come. In my view, this is the definition of a great person. A great person's actions affect not just one person but millions of people. Over this Easter, take some time to reflect upon the great people who we have been privileged to share this world with. They may still be with us or they may have left us many years ago. Be grateful that they aspired to be great and to create a legacy that expanded beyond themselves. Furthermore, take some time to reflect about the key events in your own personal history. What are the days that have significantly changed your life? What meaning have you attached to those days? What have those days taught you and are you proud of the person that they have helped you become? Bookmark this post with: [ What's This? ] |

Easter Reflections
The significance of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ is that it was a a day that not only changed one life, but changed the life of millions of people for many years to come. Very true, even more so since the life of Jesus Christ changed the life of ALL people for ALL time.
Person is one thing, the fact the very Son of God sacrificed himself for me and you and ALL people, shows the gracious love of the true God.
