Surprises

Surprises and unexpected events often cause us to make the biggest changes in the way we live our lives. What would life be like without surprises?

How boring would life be if everyday went perfectly, exactly as you had intended it to go?

As human beings, most of our behaviour and thoughts are conditioned and repeated constantly throughout our lives.

Surprises, however, force us to think and behave differently.

A surprise can be both positive or negative. It could be the joy of a new baby or the shock at the unexpected death of a loved one.

No matter what the nature of the surprise is, its effect on us cannot be understated.

Surprises force us to immediately think and behave in different ways. Very often, it is as a result of a surprise that we make our biggest changes in behaviour or thinking.

When was the last time that an hour went exactly as you planned it to go? When did a day last pass when every single aspect of it went just how you planned it to be. For most people, most days contain an element of surprise and unexpectedness. It is our ability to react positively and calmly to these surprises that determines our stress levels, our success levels and our happiness.
