Andy Andrews

Andy Andrews who wrote the Traveller's Guide. Andy Andrews has had a difficult life.

He lost his parents and became homeless in his late teens.

During the time that Andy lived on the streets, he would go into libraries and read the biographies of great people. Andy read over 200 in total.

Andy took the lessons that he had learnt and put them into a self-help book, The Traveller's Gift.

This book was turned down by 50 publishers.

One evening at dinner, Andy was sitting next to a lady who asked him what he did. Andy told her that he had been writing a book and she asked to read it.

This lady was the only person more powerful than a publisher. She was a publisher's wife! She loved the book and a week later, Andy had a contract.

We hear of many men and women who have had difficult lives. We hear how many transform their lives around. Sadly, we very rarely get to learn about how these transformations happened and what triggered them. For Andy, success did not come easy. It took over 50 attempts to publish his book and, luckily, it was a coincidental meeting that gave him his break.
