Be True to Yourself

By being true to himself, Picasso became a brilliant painter. The greatest gift that we can give ourselves is the gift of spending our lives doing something that we love.

Pablo Picasso once said:

"My mother said to me, 'If you become a soldier, you'll be a general; if you become a monk, you'll end up as the pope.' Instead, I became a painter and wound up as Picasso."

When you do something that you are passionate about, you are much more likely to succeed and enjoy life.

What passions do you have that are lying dormant? What dreams and ambitions have you left aside?

Our passions are born from deep within. To feed them is to feed ourselves with purpose and a joy for living.

To let your passion lay dormant and wither away is to keep the greatest part of your character and personality hidden from all.

What are you passionate about? What do you do that seems effortless and fun? If you had an afternoon to yourself, what would you do? What have you dreamt about doing ever since you were a child, and still dream of doing many years later? The answer to these questions are things that you are passionate about. They are the reasons that you live for. Now, imagine if they became a larger part of your life. Imagine them becoming an even larger part. Imagine doing them everyday, full time. How would life seem then?
