The Successful Charity

Kiva has helped over 220,000 businesses. There are very few charities that actually stop taking donations because they have fulfilled their objectives.

Recently, a charity called Kiva announced that it had done just that.

Kiva helps people make micro-loans to budding entrepreneurs in developing countries.

Recently, Kiva announced that all of the businesses and budding entrepreneurs that were asking for funding had received the funding that they required. This, for example, included a Nigerian restaurateur who required $450 to buy new equipment and a Samoan farmer who required $330 for livestock.

In total, Kiva raised over $19.5 million to help 220,000 businesses and individuals.

In a world where the gulf between the richest nations and the poorest nations is growing rapidly, it is refreshing to see that we have finally, in one small way, succeeding in everybody that needs helping.
